On The Edge - Couture Creations Cards

Jo here to share with you some cards I have made using the On The Edge dies from Couture Creations.

So for these cards I pulled out some 12 x 12 acetate sheets.  Its a little hard to see on the photos but the die cuts just "pop" using white cardstock on acetate.

On the top two cards I have used Ezra Border (that's the one on the left and side)  The other one is definitely a favourite - its called Rosy Ferns Footer.  You will see on the pic below I have used two cuts of this one to frame the acetate front

This card on the left is using the Verbascum Stems Footer.

Now here is the trick to sticking these on acetate without marking the back.

Yep a big roll of double sided tape that you apply to your cardstock before putting through your machine.  This makes working with these intricut dies a breeze!

Thanks so much for popping by!

Until next time

A litttle more Christmas Scrapping

Hi and thanks so much for popping by my little part of the cyber world.

Just another quick share today.  I have scrapped a few more Christmas pics.  Normally Christmas photos take forever for me to scrap.  This year I found the papers really grabbed me and made we want to get my creative on!

I have to say these papers were a challenge for me as they are quite "busy" but I'm really happy with how they turned out!.

Hehehehe these silly Christmas props actually gave us a lot of fun!

I added a touch of gold to this one.

This last layout was with a different paper lane.  It was a Bella Boulevard line with lots of cutesy images.  I know - not something I would normally scrap with but good to challenge yourself right?

I still have a couple more pics to scrap from Christmas but have to say that novelty has worn thin a little bit so may have a break and get back to those Christmas photos a little later on.

Thanks for popping by!

Christmas scrapping

Hello!  Well can you believe we are already half way through January!

So I decided that I would get my Christmas scrap on and I have already started scrapping last years Christmas pics.  Here is a couple of what I have created.

These papers are very different to what I would normally use.  They are the Christmas line from Pink Fresh Studios.  I think that's what I like about them - they are so bright, fresh and clean.

You Make Me Happy

Hello friends and a Happy New Year to you all!

I hope this year brings you all much love and happiness!

Today I have a layout to share with you all.

I am still very much enjoying using the Ooh La La paper range and I have also added my favourite die from the new Ornamental Affair die collection.

Here is a quick run down on how I created my layout.

I first started with a little of the Anna Griffin Texture paste and also my favourite stencil - Secret Garden Damask.

Using a plate I traced a circle.  Before hand stitched around the  line you have traced I stamped using the Sunshine Flourishes stamp set from the Ooh La La collection.

I then cut two of the Everly Background die and embossed them in gold embossing powder.  I then rubbed a black inkpad lightly over the top to give it a little more depth.

When my texture paste was dry I also rubbed light a blue inkpad over the top just to pick up a bit of colour from the photo.

I then set about layering paper and diecuts and of course a doily :)

Here are a couple of close ups.
