A layout and a few cards

Hey friends!

Well I have had a good week and the nicest of weekends. It was our anniversary so my dear mum had the children while I was spoilt with a meal out, some beautiful jewellery and a lazy Sunday sleep in. Thanks mum! She is the best!

I did this layout using the Hummingbird collection from Kaiser.

It's not as cluttered as my normal work but I have been trying to scrap with more than one photo to a page as my albums are ending up too fat! How cute is that dear little man? I can't believe that little man is turning 15 later this year. How did that happen?

I finally used my Cricut too! Yay!! It's been sitting on my top shelf just gathering dust. I really need to make an effort to use it a little more often. I find it so frustrating to use. Never does what I want it to do. I'm sure the problem is with me!

I also made some cards for my next card class. I'm really enjoying these classes and making new friends. These are the cards I have made.

Also just wanted to mention too, that For The Love of Scrap in Joondalup have a heap of old Kaiser papers all marked down to $1 a sheet. What a bargain! Definately worth stocking up.

Thanks for popping in and happy scrapping!

I received my embellishments from the lovely Tenisha from http://www.scrapelegancescrapbooksupplies.com.au/. Oh boy some neat stuff. I have done my layout but I can't show you till a little later on. Appart from that havent really done much this week. Its been too hot for me. I'm really over this weather. Bring on the winter please!! With a little luck it will be cooler on the weekend so I can get down and inky!

Thanks for stopping in!

A few cards

Wow! The end of another week! Where does the time go?

My first class went off really well. Everyone went home with some gorgeous looking cards and I am fired up to do it all again next Thursday.

The week has been a busy one with running the children around with after school activities so I have had much crafting time. Managed to make a few cards.

One of the lovely ladies that came to my class on Thursday showed me some of her awesome coloured La-La Land images so I had a little play around and coloured a few images. This is one of the cards I came up with.

I also made these two as well. I really like the colour combinations in these cards.

My year to shine!

Hey friends!

Happy Valentines Day!

I know that alot of you probly don't celebrate Valentines Day. My hubby and I don't make a big deal of it either but its still nice to make a bit of a fuss over the person you love. I was woken this moring with a lovely surprise. This gorgeous bear was sitting on my bed. I think he is pretty cute. That wasnt my only surprise. I jumped into my car to run the children to school and sitting on my seat was a beautiful long stem rose! My hubby has scored brownie points for sure this year!!

This week is very hetic with after school activities for the children but just wanted to share this layout I finished last night. I have had these papers for a little while now, but I must say I really wasnt fussed on them. Im not one to use red or yellow in a layout. Bright colours are just not me. I also never ever scrap photos of myself so this was a huge challenge. I'm really pleased with out it turned out. Im entering this layout into the February challenge at http://www.sassyscrapper.com.au/

Gotta dash! Thanks for dropping by!

HELLO AND WELCOME

Hello and welcome! I have finally decided to join the blogging world! I have been thinking about this for weeks now and not being very computer literate, put me off. But with some support from my IT hubby I decided to "just do it"!

Please bear with me while I try and navigate my way around this big wide cyberworld. For a long time now Facebook has been a place where I have shared alot of my crafting adventures but I know that alot of my friends aren't into the scrapping scene so hence my decision to start a blog.

This past week has been a very big week for me. I can now proudly say that I have just completed my first DT commitment for http://scrapelegancescrapbooksupplies.com.au/. OMGosh! How nervous was I doing that! I am always so critical of my work and I really wanted to do justice to these gorgeous little embellishments. This is what I came up with.

and this -

These beautiful handmade embellies can be purchased as at 7pm on 22nd February. Check out Tenisha's website. She has some awesome handmade buttons and embellishments!

This week has also seen me launch into unchartered territories with starting classes from my home. I have a 2 classes booked for this week so I am super excited to meet some new friends! These are the cards that I will be teaching.

I will be running this class again so if anybody is interested, please just contact me for the details.

Just to top off my week, my local scrapbooking shop has asked me to teach too. So its been a huge week for me.

Well thats it for my very first post! Wasn't too bad after all! Thanks for stopping by.
